Transport systems

The Swedish Trade Council’s business area Transport Systems aims to help Swedish companies in the sector to increase their exports. There is a high global demand for solutions within road safety; operation and maintenance of traffic systems for roads, railways, airports and harbors; congestion management and more.

In collaboration with government agencies and companies, the Swedish Trade Council works towards exporting knowledge, services and products related to road safety. The industry has four main segments:

• - Infrastructure solutions
• - Vehicle related solutions
• - Services and training
• - Monitor and control systems

Often, combinations of the above are of international interest. The Swedish Trade Council has identified a number of focus markets where activities will be carried out in 2011 and 2012. Vision Zero Initiative is a platform that has been developed to present and explain the world leading Swedish model for road safety internationally. Read more at www.visionzeroinitiative.com.
