Swedish Days in Lviv, Ukraine

The Swedish Trade Council, together with the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine, has an honor to invite the Swedish companies to the Swedish Days in the Ukrainian city Lviv.
 
The main purpose of the event is to provide new opportunities for co-operation and investment between Swedish and Ukrainian business. The Sweden Days will also promote Swedish culture and society in the region.
Together with the long-standing traditions of entrepreneurship and small/medium-sized manufacturing industries (woodworking, furniture, textile, logistics etc.)
 
In Western Ukraine, the historical links between Lviv and Sweden provides a good back-drop to the activities during the Sweden Days. Lviv with the population of just over 1 million people is the capital of Western Ukraine, natural logistics hub and commercial center, has established infrastructure to access both EU and far eastern Ukraine within a day.

The proximity to EU is also of interest and Swedish companies currently manufacturing in Eastern Europe are invited to explore the potential of sourcing in Western Ukraine.

The main event will take place on 14th – 15th of October with arrival planned for the Wednesday 13th in the evening, and cultural programs available on Saturday 16th for those interested.
The Sweden Days concept is based on a mixture of business promotion and cultural exchange, where both Ukraine and Sweden have a strong interest to strengthen co-operation.
 
The main activities of the program 14th -15th of October will include:
  • Individually tailored programs for Swedish business  including opportunities for match-making with local business-partners;
  • Presentations of Swedish experiences in sectors such as innovation and energy efficiency;
  • A seminar with work-shops in different sectors; textile, IT, metal working, outsourcing, automotive industry, etc.;
  • Swedish cultural events at different local venues (movies, DJ, jazz).
