Waste Management Seminar in Moscow

The Swedish Trade Council in Russia and the Russian Bank of Foreign Economic Affairs - VEB, invite you to a Waste Management seminar in Moscow

VEB is directly managed by the Russian government and initiates this seminar following request from Vladimir Putin who welcomed Swedish technology and know-how within the fields of waste management and waste solutions to Russia during his visit to Sweden in spring 2011.

The Swedish Trade Council considers this a unique opportunity for Swedish companies:
  • A proposed law on producer responsibility with final reading spring 2012 will create a basis for  investment  in waste management in Russia
  • VEB with assets equivalent of 700 Billion SEK and net profit equivalent to 6 billion SEK is Russia’s main investor (has joint project with Swedish Södra Grupp)
  • Russian state corporation Rostechnology with 600 industrial plants is interested in developing production of waste handling equipment in its facilities and will actively participate in the seminar

The seminar will be hosted by VEB together with companies within the Rostechnology group in order to find leading Swedish companies with focus on waste management.

The location of the seminar will be on the premises of VEB in Moscow and held on Thursday February 9.
