Welcome to the Payment Guide

A basic question in every export business is what procedure should be followed in order to receive payment in the desired manner and at the desired time. A delayed payment or, even worse, no payment at all can prove very expensive for the exporting company.

To help companies with this, the Swedish Trade Council has produced the Payment Guide, a web service that gives information about suitable forms of payment, the scope for obtaining credit insurances, financing options and debt collection procedures etc. in over sixty countries. The Guide help you to receive payment in desired manner and at the desired time. This Guide covers S/T credits – payments with up to one year credit.

The Guide also contains recommendations about publications, a list of addresses, links to credit insurance companies, international legal information and details of current exchange rates.
