The Swedish Embassy and the Swedish Trade Council invite you to participate in a business mission to Novosibirsk 27-28 April 2004. The mission will be led by Ambassador Sven Hirdman.
The Swedish Business Days will help you make first contacts or to widen and strengthen existing contacts in the region through an “Open house” and through scheduled meetings with actual and potential partners. A reception, hosted by the ambassador, for companies and authorities in the Novosibirsk region will provide you with an excellent opportunity to deepen your contacts in an informal way. The business days will coincide with a week of Swedish culture in Novosibirsk, featuredby films, music and an exhibition. Media from both countries will be invited to the event.
Novosibirsk is the third largest city in Russia and the “capital of Siberia”. It is an important transport hub and hosts a well-known university. The foreign investments in Novosibirsk are, so far, insignificant, but knowing the city’s scientific potential and Siberia’s enormous natural recourses there should be a prospect for a rapid future development. Today, industrial production and real incomes in the Novosibirsk region are growing faster than the the Russian average. The participation fee will be 1,500 US Dollars per company, plus travel and hotel expenses. To be able to continue planning we would be grateful if you could inform the Embassy as soon as possible whether you, preliminary, would be interested in participating. You can do so by answering to this e-mail or by calling Ms Veronica Antipova at the Embassy (+7 095 937 92 00). The final confirmation should be made on a special form that will be distributed in January.WELCOME!
