Swedish Sustainable Business

By spreading knowledge and building capacity among SSB's members, we want to stimulate and illuminate Swedish CSR work abroad, improve relations with local stakeholders and increase the international competitiveness of Swedish companies.

Depending on the market and the participating companies' capacity, the platform's framework varies, as well as companies' commitments. The pillars of the platform however are:

 CSR principles
Members of the platform are committed to act according to certain predefined guiding principles. Common Principles include guidelines for human rights, labour law, environment and anti-corruption and ensure a standard in accordance with international accepted norms and principles. Project Principles act as guidelines for the members when evaluating and validating local CSR projects.

CSR activities
The members take part in workshops and seminars in order to share knowledge and build capacity on CSR. The activities are carried out together with a range of actors, including local companies, universities or specialized CSR consultants.

 CSR projects
The members are encouraged to implement CSR projects in order to contribute to sustainable development while exposing Swedish companies' CSR initiatives and strengthening Sweden's brand internationally. By illuminating the Swedish CSR work, we want to make it easier for Swedish companies to do business in the country.
