The inauguration was attended by over 100 Indonesian and Swedish government high level representatives and business leaders, and the large visiting Swedish business delegation headed by Ulf Berg.

- The opening of our new office in Jakarta is in line with our overall growth strategy, enabling us to focus our global strength to one of the fastest growing emerging markets today, says the Swedish Trade Council's President and CEO Ulf Berg, and continues:

- It was truly amazing to see the interest in our new office at the inauguration, with hundreds of Indonesian and Swedish business leaders attending the ceremony.

With a domestic market of over 240 million inhabitants, and a fast growing economy of 5 % annual GDP growth during the last 10 years, Indonesia has proven to be one of the most interesting emerging markets in the world, and the second "I" among the "BRIIC" countries. Today approximately 70 Swedish companies are operating in the fast growing Indonesia, and the Swedish Indonesian trade volume is at 5 billion MSEK.

- As Swedish export to Indonesia has doubled during the last 10 years, and we now see a fast growing interest from Swedish companies to establish and grow their operations in the Indonesian market we are very happy to add the new office in Jakarta to our team in ASEAN, says Håkan Nylander, Area Manager ASEAN.

The immediate industrial sectors with large business potential in Indonesia are telecom, health care, environmental technologies, infrastructure and mining.

- This week we have a business delegation of 40 + delegates focusing on green technologies, followed by new minister business delegation focusing on Health Care already in April, and a list of planned focused activities ahead of us. I am really happy for the strong support we receive from colleagues globally and all the available experiences that we can leverage, says Erik Milfors, now Manager Indonesia, and continues:

- It is fantastic to work with Swedish Industry in this complex and fast growing market, and I look forward to together with my colleagues in Asia and around the world grow our operations in Indonesia.
