Swedish Trade Council in Argentina

The Swedish Trade Council in Argentina supports Swedish companies wanting to establish themselves, or grow, on the Argentine market. Since 2006 our office is located in Buenos Aires. From the office we also cover the markets of Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The Argentine market has developed considerably in recent years. Domestic consumption and investment continuously drive the growth figures upwards. For the past four years the economic growth has exceeded 8.5 percent. (GDP growth was 8.7 percent in 2007, 8.5 percent in 2006, 9.2 percent in 2005 and 9 percent in 2004). The Swedish export to Argentina today consists mainly of engineering products, especially telecommunication equipment.

Our local presence provides us with a unique knowledge of the market. We know the language and the business culture and we have over time built up a well-developed network, experience and detailed local knowledge.
