The Swedish Trade Council in Mexico supports Swedish companies wanting to establish themselves, or grow, on the Mexican market. We have been present since January 2003 and today have an office in Mexico City - the world's second largest city with about 21 million inhabitants. From our office we cover the markets of Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba and Bahamas. The business opportunities in Mexico are within several sectors where Sweden is highly qualified; especially in the automotive, mining, oil & gas and IT & telecommunications industry. Furthermore, there is an increasing need for luxury goods, security, environmental solutions and healthcare and medical technology companies. The office is strategically located as the gateway to both North and South America. When carrying out an export drive, many companies choose to go into several of these countries simultaneously. In order to establish the conditions and opportunities of several markets, the Swedish Trade Council in Mexico therefore conducts enhanced cooperation with other offices in the region.
