The Swedish Trade Council’s offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines together form the Swedish Trade Council in ASEAN. The offices are also responsible for the Indonesian and Cambodian markets.
The Swedish Trade Council in Thailand supports Swedish companies to establish themselves, or grow, on the Thai market. We are centrally located in Bangkok to enable us to give on-site support to Swedish companies. The Thai economy has over the past five years grown on average by more than 5% per year. Inflation has on average been around 3% and export from Thailand has during 2008 gained momentum since the change of government. Thailand has a large domestic market with approximately 65 million inhabitants. Swedish export to Thailand today consists mainly of engineering products, paper and pulp. Import from Thailand to Sweden, however, is larger, almost double the size, and especially within engineering products and food. Our local presence provides us with a unique knowledge of the market. We know the language and the business culture and we have over time built up a well-developed network, experience and detailed local knowledge. We can make it easier for you in all phases of your export plans, from the moment any issues might arise to questions regarding practical establishment support. And we have several different solutions. For us, nothing is out of the ordinary, if it enables us to offer your company tools to develop itself even further!Welcome to our office!
