Swedish Trade Council in Vietnam

The Swedish Trade Council’s offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines together form the Swedish Trade Council in ASEAN. The offices are also responsible for the Indonesian and Cambodian markets.

The Swedish Trade Council in Vietnam supports Swedish companies wanting to establish themselves, or grow, on the Vietnamese market. We are present with an office in Ho Chi Minh City and with a consultant based in Hanoi.

Our local presence provides us with a unique knowledge of the market. We know the language and the business culture and we have over time built up a well-developed network, experience and detailed local knowledge.

Since the early 90s Vietnam's economic growth has been one of the fastest in the world. In recent years, it has been around 8 per cent per year. An important force is the growing export and that Vietnam's major strength lies in the very low production costs. Main export products are oil, clothing, aqua products, footwear, rice and coffee. At the same time there is an increasing demand for foreign goods from the country's rapidly growing middle classes and the fast growing industry.
