Swedish Trade Council in Norway

The Swedish Trade Council in Norway supports Swedish companies wanting to establish themselves, or grow, on the Norwegian market. We have been present since 1975 and have our office in Oslo. The office has nine employees, all with different backgrounds and professional experience.

Norway, Sweden's second largest export market, is a very attractive market for the majority of both small and large companies in various industries. After several years of solid growth, Norway has one of the strongest economies in the world. The purchasing power is good on both the business and consumer market and there is a positive view of Swedish products and services. However, some differences between the Swedish and Norwegian markets are worth considering. Statutory regulations, business and market requirements and the fact that Norway is not a member of the EU are examples of essential differences to take into account before establishing in Norway.

Our local presence provides us with a unique knowledge of the market.  We know the language and the business culture and we have over time built up a well-developed network, experience and detailed local knowledge.
