Swedish Trade Council in the Ukraine

The Swedish Trade Council in the Ukraine supports Swedish companies wanting to establish themselves, or grow, on the Ukrainian market. At our office in Kiev we have both English and Ukrainian consultants. From our office in Kiev, in cooperation with local networks, we are also responsible for the markets in Georgia and Armenia.

A well educated labor force, competitive cost level, long industrial and handcraft tradition, a geographically favorable position, under investment and high demand provides business opportunities within virtually all sectors in these countries.

Negotiations on Free Trade Agreement are underway between EU and Ukraine.  An established free trade agreements will mean, for Swedish companies, decreased trade barriers and an increased volume of trade between Sweden and Ukraine. 

Ukraine is a worthy candidate for your next international venture with population consisting of 46 million people/ consumers, a member of WTO, low/competitive production cost, growing middle class.

Due to financial crises, in 2009, Ukraine experienced a GDP decrease of - 15%. Following year Ukraine´s economy experienced a growth of  4,5 %  and in between 2011-2015 is estimated to grow with 4% - 5% annually.
