The Civil Security and Safety market in Mexico has been growing tremendously in the last few years. The annual cost for security products and services in Mexico is estimated at 120 billion USD (7% of GDP), considering segments like electronic security, industrial security/safety, protection systems, police equipment, public security, personal protection and disaster prevention amongst others.
The Mexican market for public and personal security products, as well as personnel and facilities protection has grown increasingly more sophisticated in recent years, heavily depending on imports to meet its requirements. The need for innovative solutions in Mexico poses a challenge for which Swedish companies can offer competitive products and solutions.
In November 2012, the Security the Swedish Way initiative will provide a platform to showcase Swedish solutions for civil safety, exchange knowledge and network with Mexican organizations, associations and government officials.
