The International Environmental Protection Industry Expo - presented advanced technologies within air and water pollution, waste handling and urban construction. In the 12 five years plan during 2011-2015 Chinese Government are investing 2 100 billion SEK, in the following 7 areas, energy efficiency, renewable energy, green cars, smart materials, high technology equipment, next generation of IT-systems, environmental protection.
The Swedish participation in the conference was in the areas of air pollution and waste-to-energy.
An agreement was signed between Östergötland Province and the Environmental Protection Department in Jiangsu Province regarding environmental training in Sweden.
We received a lot of attention from media, high officials - the Governor of Jiangsu Province, Vice Minister of Environment from Beijing, Vice Mayor of Nanjing and from a lot of companies.
During the last years we had a many visits and workshops within clean-tech in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province. In the same time we have invited important decisions makers from Nanjing to visit relevant important clean-tech projects in Sweden. This has led to a lot of new business as well as more opportunities for many companies.
Ms. Anita Jonsson, Swedish Trade Council in Shanghai was in charge of the Swedish participation in close cooperation with the Swedish Consulate and Mr. Mats Denninger and Ms.Tina Karlberg, International Environmental Technology Cooperation IMT.
Mr. Anders Wollter, Head of Centec at Swedish Embassy in Beijing visited the exhibition with his colleagues.
